It has been tested up to 10,000 volts and VDE-certified up to 1,000 volts according to DIN EN/IEC 60900. You will find the S2 steel blade very robust. It cuts well and it lasts a long time. This knife has a comfortable soft grip as well as a thumb rest and finger hook to prevent the tool from slipping as you work.
